Looks like I am going to really have to adjust my way of living to afford fuel...especially since it hit $3.85 a gallon today and hell, we arent even in to Summer yet...

To all the tree huggers out there, I apologize for the following statement, but I am going to start promoting the "DRILL BABY DRILL" attitude...hell, they can drill in my fukken back yard for all I care...

It's not just the fuel prices...well, I guess it is, because it affects us far more than at the pump alone...look at the prices of food...the general cost of living in general is rising every time the fuel prices rise...

Got some gas today, $3.89 for 93 octane. Fuel causes everything to go uip.

What sux the most is that you now have to budget for gas. It no longer takes 20 or 25 dollars to fill up. It takes 45 or 50 every time. If you own a truck with a large fuel tank it could cost over a 100 dollars to fill up. The economy is never going to rebound , because gas prices won't allow it. If gas was 1.85 or 2.00 a gallon think of the money you would be saving at the pump that you could spend on something else. Gas prices effect every thing and everyone. Especially the working class.

Well fellas i have not fueled up yet but diesel is 4.00+ and if you have to use high test your in worse shape than i am like my son he has not got gas yet either.They are saying that it will be around 5.00 by memoral day,damn wallstreet bastards and their futures.

I saw diesel at $4.06 today...that'd be $138 and change for me to fill up at full empty. I would love to drive my truck all the time, but with these fuel prices thank god I don't have to.

you have no idea how mad i was when i was locked out of my truck while it was running this morning...i burned a little over 1/8 tank of fuel today and when you're trying to save up to redo the exhaust, install an alarm/keyless entry and install a sound system..it's very rough on the wallet and pretty much throws your whole week off in terms of how much you want to spend on gas per week...gahh

Yeah, I'm sure that really sucked this morning. I have never locked myself out of a vehicle (knock on wood), but I have locked myself out of the house. But, a house is a lot easier to break into than a vehicle.

I also have to note the fact that I hate it when these gas prices sky rocket in the summer too. You can't really do anything fun because of how much money has to go into the gas tank - no one really wants to go anywhere. It makes for a boring summer, and I don't have many left until I hit the real working world lol..

Corn in fuel are you fucking retarded that shit doesnt burn or break down that is why you shit whole kernels your body can't break it down. There are alternative plants to use that are way more efficient like switchgrass (corn 20% yield, cost more takes away from usable farmland and also takes away corn as a food source--switchgrass 80% yield and grows wild all over America) I usually don't rant on these thing because there is nothing I can do about it but I need a rant. On the corn deal...last I read, there simply isn't enough corn farmers in the USA to yield enough corn to supply us with both fuel AND corn to eat...cause basically corn is in nearly EVERYTHING we eat...so...that means we would have to resort to importing corn in one way of the other...sorry, but I aint eating no foreign corn and I doubt the USA would have it imported for our food...so, we would have to end up importing it for fuel...next thing you know, corn based fuels are treated just like petroleum based fuels and the companies make importing it sky high...

I read that the other day too. Billions of barrels sitting in our own backyard, that could make us completely independent from foreign oil. And then we could withdraw our troops that are giving their lives in the middle eastern countries because we won't have any interests to protect over there...

I agree. We need to start drilling here again. There's plenty of oil in Texas and Oklahoma alone, let alone it opens up jobs. Yes a roughneck is a long and hard job, but it's a job and there will be other oil related jobs that will open up
