Considering my pickup is lowered 2" all around, do you think it looks better with, or without the lower air dam.

Thanks Dan! I have to say I think it looks a little tougher, I like being able to see the belltech springs, bilstein shocks, and energy suspension bushings. I just want to see if anyone thinks it conflicts with the drop.

Okla, its funny you say that, I actually did paint it black yesterday and put it on, it looked so out of place with everything else color matched.

Looks like I will clean up the bumper and leave it off!

It looks higher with it off to me, just my 2 cents, it's yours do what you want.

I have been researching, doesn't really seem like it will effect anything while driving, but there has been tests that say a 4" air dam on the bottom of a vehicle could increase highway mileage by as much as .8 MPG. It also is supposed to help direct some of the air back into grille to help cool the radiator.

I'll get one tomorrow for you Jay. As Lou said, it definitely looks higher in the front. Which im not so sure about yet.

Definitely staying off for now then! Might put it on if I experience some sort of front end float on the parkway.

I think it looks lower with it on but I cant stand how flimsy those things look. I think your truck would look sweet with an 00-01 sport bumper and grille.

Well, I just want to thank everyone for their input. I went ahead and followed Okla's advice and made a little compromise. Instead of using krylon fusion gloss black to paint the lower air dam, I went down to Advance and got some of this stuff from Duplicolor called Bumper Coating, which I didn't even know existed, I assume it is the same stuff as Fusion just flat instead of gloss.

I think it came out fairly good, it has the same clean look without the air dam, but at the same time, the air dam is still there to serve its purpose.

Perfect can't even see it i'ma get me some of that paint when i install the one adam gave me of course i gotta install the chicken lights on that one first.
