Getting ready to put a set of drop shackles on my truck. How much time should I allot for this job? I've done add a leafs before but never shackles so just trying to get a gauge of how long it will take.

That's what I was hoping to hear. Was planning on doing it this weekend if the weather is nice but won't have a lot of time to do it.

I've done it many times, as long as you don't have a receiver hitch to get in the way of the shackle bolts coming out it should only take half an hour to 45 minutes. With an air ratchet or impact even less.

Sure can, no problem. Can't guarantee I will do it this weekend but when I do install them I will take pics.

I pulled off the hitch when I did the roll pan, so I should be good.

super simple, if your not doing the o/l leaf its easy peazy, just jack up the truck enough to lower the axle a little, taking the stocks out and replacing w/ drop shackles with a integrated hitch like our 3rd gen come with is easy, the second gen hitches seem to be bigger and bulkier and more of a pain...

By the sounds of it I should be able to squeeze the job in this weekend during a couple free hours I hope to have. I just wanted to make sure there were no hidden hangups that I would run into.

Good to hear it is a quick job. I just haven't really had time to do much on my truck of late. Have had other things filling my time.

Guy's & Girls, IMO, I have Red as low as I can make it and stil be a daily driver. It's dropped 3" front and 4-1/2" rear. Fender liner's are inplace, no bumping, scraping when run fast on back roads, Tow's my 6x12 motorcyle trailer without issues. No frame slap with the Aeon springs used as bump stops. The ride is firm but not harsh. This is as good as it gets without cutting and compromising the truck as a daily driver. The build is as simple as it gets and is totally passive using parts over the counter.
Mcgauphy 2/4.5 drop spindle kit
o/l removed
Monroe shocks
front coils cut
alignment adjusters
Aeon springs used as bump stops
Caitracs to keep everything in place
