Okay, so, when I try a product to use on my truck, from now on I will post my review for it so you all can read it. and decide if it might fit your needs or not.

Tonights review will be of: Armor All Ultra Shine Wash and Wax

According to the label, this is Armor All's "most advanced wash and wax", so I purchased it. I got home, rinsed off my truck and mixed the wash and wax as directed in a CLEAN 5 gallon bucket. I used a CLEAN terry cloth rag and washed the truck as I always would.

Review: This stuff sucks and actually, if I ever meet an Armor All rep, I swear I will kick him in the nuts based on how bad this stuff is. After my truck dried I had swirl marks everywhere, it appeared as it had never been washed. I have better results using Dawn dish soap. It makes good suds in the bucket, but doesnt clean very well at all.

Would I purchase this product again?: Absolutely NOT.

I have used the armorall wax on my truck got it free[which is good cause i would not buy it] as a door prize, i waxed it[the truck] 3 months ago still slicker than owlshit.I'm a cheap bastard so i won't pay big money for car care products, if it's free it's for me. Tried that ice stuff don't like it at all.

Good info Adam, now I know which one to stay away from, the last one I used was the mr. clean soap that goes in the water gun made by them as well (the one you dont need to dry the car after) It works pretty good but I've been cheap lately and honestly just been using w.e soap is around the house at the time

I use that of stuff all the time, I've been using it for about 5 years now. Love it and puts a light coat of wax on it also. Smells good too.

In fact I just used it again about a week ago and detailed the truck.

Also dawn dish shop and laundry detergent eat away at the clear coat. Just thought I'd throw that in there aswell.

I use blue coral car wash soap on all vehicles in our stable,and armorall wax on the truck, garage systems wax/cleaner on the stang and vdub,cuda gets whatever is handy[paint job is crappy.

Adam i think the white smears happened to you because of the way your clearcoat is, same thing would happen to my buick if I used stuff like that.

With that being said, I use just regular car wash, and wax it by hand. The ol fashion way.

I dont know...it may have been because of my worn clear coat. But I have used Maguires (spelling) Gold Class on it and had much better results same with dish detergent. Im gonna give this stuff another try this weekend though and I will report back my results.

I know this back from my detailing days. But with the older cars you not supposed to use detergent or dish soap and also products that say newly formulated, brand new formula blah blah blah. Has something to do with the different clear coat and paint we us today than back then. On my old YJ I too use to use detergent and it worked great until I saw the red paint slowly comming off. Plus after a few months I noticed the paint started to become cloudy. I was able to recondition the clear with some zymol clear coat reconditioner. Just sharing my experiance.

Okay, I forgot all about this, so I will go ahead and review a couple products I have used lately:

1) Jax Wax Wash N Wax:
Probably the BEST wash and wax I have EVER used!!! Leaves the truck looking magnificant!!!

2) Jax Wax Shine All:
I will never buy another Armour All product again after using this stuff...and even though it is water based, it holds up really nicely, with no "greasy" residue after it is applied. I used it on my engine bay over a month ago and it still looks fresh.

Adam - You need to use StuartShine or Croftgate. Both are excellent products. The StuartShine my be a little cheaper. They both have websites for you to order them from. I know you will be happy with either product.

No problem Adam. Just throwing out some options for you. I know a lot of you Florida guys are excited about the Jax Wax products. I am all about what works and how the company will treat you. Jax Wax does both well for you guys.

Ok, since I bought my truck I have been using clip on air fresheners. As you might know, most the air fresheners are in my opinion "chickish"...sorry, but I don't want my truck smelling like a freaking passion fruit and coconut. So, I found these air fresheners...called "Driven"

These things are great and make our manly trucks smell like the manly trucks they should smell like...not some tootie fruity womanly field of oranges...I replace mine every 2 weeks. They retail for about $2.90 at AutoZone.

Both Wal-Mart and Autozone carry them...they actually smell more like a colougne then anything else...there isnt a scent called "new car smell" or anything like that.

The scents are named as follows:

green= Venom Assault
blue= Titanium Rain
red= Primal Impulse
orange= Scorched Earth
purple= Atomic Storm

First- Eagle one wadding metal polish(around $6 a can). My back bumper was pretty clean but it had some dust and dirt on it. All you do is pull some of it out and just wipe whatever you want to polish then get a towel and wipe it off. I did the whole back bumper and then the sides, let it sit about a minute, wipe it off with one side of a microfiber towel but it still had some haze, then flipped the towel over and wiped it again. Bumper looks like it just came out of the factory. Shine and reflection is amazing. However it didn't do that great of a job on my exhaust tips, those would take multiple "wads" to get them clean

Second- Turtle wax bug and tar remover. Sprayed it on my whole front bumper replacement, hood, and mirrors(the textured part not the glass) as they were covered in bugs and bird poop. Sprayed it heavily and let it set for about a minutes as they recommend. Wiped it off with another microfiber towel and the bugs and bird poop came right off. One warning, it will leave a residue on paint and windows so rinse your car in the applied areas after you're done wiping off the bug and tar remover. This was my second time applying it, first time it was about the same but some bugs were still stuck on the mirrors so I'm guessing it leaves some kind of protectant for easier removal the next time you use the product

I can find products that work similar to most of the stuff I buy from Jax Wax except for this, it is hands down the best stuff I have ever used it impresses me every time. I have a love bug genocide going on right now on the truck when I wash it when I'm back home Monday I'll take pics.

Eeek I definitely need some new stuff. Overspray from the mirrors got on both front windows and left this weird residue where you couldn't see out of the part of the windows with the overspray and when light would hit it it would like refract weird. Not sure how to describe it. Normal hose couldn't get it off so I had to go to one of those diy car washes and use the soap brush and high pressure sprayer
